The Chakras

Welcome to the wonderful world of Chakras.
Here is a small glimpse into this vast subject. One that I hope will set you off on a self-exploration of your own.
The word Chakra originates from the ancient 'Sanskrit' word meaning 'wheel' a term used to describe these 'wheels of energy'. Sanskrit is an ancient language originating from India. These wheels of energy are like vortexes that constantly spin on a higher vibration to that of the physical body. They are the link from the spiritual vibration to the physical world. It is where the life force energy flows. Their purpose is to draw in this energy to help keep the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical bodies in balance. There are many Chakras around the body but the most influential are the seven main chakras that reside in the etheric body or auric field along the spinal column of the nervous system. The seven main chakras are known as the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and the Crown.
Each chakra has its own unique properties, they each have their own colour, sound, element, symbol, emotion, sense and are also linked to particular parts of the body and is of huge benefits to keep them balanced for your own self and wellbeing.
